As we embark upon the first week of Lent, students will continue to reflect on the Lenten Promises they are focused on and will begin to journey with Jesus to the cross through their own "Lenten Road Map." Students will also hear the Gospel from this past Sunday when Jesus goes out into the desert to pray and fast for forty days. Students will reflect upon little things they could do for Lent. It's almost springtime. Time to open up the windows and let the fresh air into our homes. Well during Lent it's time also to open up, let God's words into your heart! Let your heart be filled with His presence. In spring it's time to also clean or clear out things in our homes. The clutter we've build up over the winter. Clean out our closets and put things away that we don't need. During Lent it's time to clear out the things in our lives we don't need that may get in the way of following Jesus. For example, watch less t.v., spend less time playing video games or going onto social media. In spring it's also time to plant seeds and watch them grow. During Lent it's time to grow the love in our hearts. It's time to do more good deeds. We will "Fill" one another's buckets when we see others "Being the Good News" and doing things that God would do for others. Lent is a time to fast and pray. A time to help those in need each day. You can do extra chores and lend a hand. You can thank God more for this beautiful land. Lent is a time to forgive someone For something they have said or done. It's also a time to see the good in others. The good that is in all our sisters and brothers. Lent is a time to walk with Jesus . Who is always there to love us and lead us. Let's help Him to carry His cross that is heavy. Let's do unto others and get our hearts ready!
