Religion: This week students will hear the Gospel from this past Sunday where Jesus tells a story to teach about the importance of being humble! Students will also explore what "All Saints Eve" is all about. Enjoy the pumpkin carving prayer before carving your pumpkin. Also listen to the story "The Pumpkin Patch Parable" to hear about how we are just like pumpkins! Dance-a-Thon We are getting our dancing feet ready for our annual Dance-a-Thon onThursday. Remember that students are encouraged to wear their costumes. Please keep masks and accessories at home. As well, please ensure that your child's costume is appropriate for school aged students. We have learned many dance moves to help us 'kick up our feet' on Tuesday!
Welcome to another exciting week of learning in grade three! Below is a little glimpse of what we'll be up to this week! Religion: This week students will hear the Gospel from Sunday where Jesus teaches about the importance of prayer and never giving up on the prayers that we have even if they don't get answered right away or answered the way we want them to be. Students will also write short prayer phrases that they can pray anytime and anywhere when they are in need. God says it's okay to "Pester" Him with our prayers! Hoping that you all enjoyed a bountiful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. If we look around all of God's creation, we certainly have plenty to be grateful for! As we journey into this week here is all of the exciting learning we will be up to. Religion: Last week students wrote inspiring prayers of Thanksgiving that reflect the many blessings that they are grateful for in their lives. This week students will hear the Gospel from Sunday where Jesus cures ten lepers but only one returns to give thanks to Him. Students will also explore some familiar saints like St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta and how they worked to bring, justice, love, kindness and mercy to the world around them by doing God's work on earth.
