Today we talked about how God is always with us helping us to be "Brave, Strong and Courageous!" We sang the song below to remind us to trust in God! Enjoy listening to the song with your family. It was wonderful to meet so many of you at our Meet the Teacher night last Wednesday! We look forward to working in partnership with you to enable your child to meet his/her personal best potential each and every day! Here is how our third week together looks like at a glance. Religion: Last week students reflected on what it meant to be a disciple of Jesus and shared words and actions that would show they are followers of Jesus! They were also re-introduced to lessons from "Samaritans On A Digital Road" where they investigated ways to show that they are positive digital citizens when using technology. This week they will hear the Gospel from this past Sunday that shares three important parables and will explore what it means to be a part of a Catholic community.
Math: Last week students had the opportunity to play a few new numeracy games to build their understanding of numbers and place value (4 strikes and you're out and 101 and you're out). They were enthusiastically engaged in our Math stations where they worked on stations such as roll and add, roll and record in expanded form and building numbers in different ways using base ten blocks. As your child to show you how to play one or more of these games! Here's a PDF with game instructions!
