Religion and Literacy: Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week with the celebration of Palm Sunday. This week students will hear and reflect on all of the events that took place on Holy Week through stories and by writing a Holy Week Narrative through the eyes of Jesus. On Thursday, March 29th at 1:10 PM, our St.Cecilia Faith in Action group will be presenting the Stations of the Cross to our school community in the gymnasium. Many of our grade three students are a part of this faith filled presentation as actors, actresses and readers. Please join us for this special event if you are able to. Wednesday - Hats for Hope! Your child may wear a hat all day long in support of our Lenten Project for a small donation of $1 or $2! Let's build our school one brick at a time.
We hope that all of our students experienced an enjoyable March Break with time to rest and enjoy some free time. As we continue on our Lenten journey and our journey of learning, students should be ready to regain their focus and put forth their personal best as they move full speed ahead with achieving their learning goals. It will be an action packed few months, filled with many exciting learning experiences! Religion: Students will listen to and reflect upon the Gospel from this past Sunday and will explore some Catholic Organizations who specialize being missionaries to those in need. We will continue to reflect on the fasting and feasting we have been focused on since Ash Wednesday and begin to prepare our hearts and minds for Holy Week.
